Xiaomi has now updated the developer version of its ROM to include the much awaited MIUI 6. Although the MIUI ROM 4.9.26 is now available for many devices, V6 is only available for Xiaomi’s Mi 3 and Mi 4 for now.
For Mi 3, the developer ROM itself comes with MIUI V5 but users can initiate an OTA upgrade to MIUI 6 after installation. Mi 4 users on the other hand get the full MIUI 6 treatment with the ROM.
Apart from Mi 3 and Mi 4, the new ROM will also work with Xiaomi Redmi 1s, Redmi Note; Samsung Galaxy Note II, Note III N9000, S4 i9500, S3, S2, Nexus; HTC One X, One; OPPO Find 5; Google Nexus 7 II, Nexus 5; and OnePlus One, among others. The drawback with the update is, all the other phones listed will only get MIUI V5 with the update.

See the MIUI ROM 4.9.26 thread on MIUI forum for more information and discussions. As mentioned before, this ROM is for developers and may have bugs that can prevent it from working normally. ROMs can be downloaded for the specific devices from the MIUI’s download page.
Please be extra cautious when flashing this to your device as you may end up with a bricked or faulty unit. It is also advisable to backup your existing data before proceeding with any upgrades.
