It’s obvious that Xiaomi is still working on MIUI V6 closely and there’s no info as to when it’ll be available to the stable channels.

For more info with discussions on what works and what’s broken, check out the Xiaomi Mi 3 MIUI forum. A few users have updated that some of the issues that were supposed to have been solved with the update are still present in the new ROM. We hope Xiaomi will push out a smaller update to fix the bugs before the pending MIUI V6 update.

Head on over to the downloads section for grab a copy of the ROM if you prefer to update manually or go to Settings > About phone and tap on System updates to see if the new ROM is available to you. The ROM weighs in at 255 MB so a Wi-Fi connection would be preferable/advised. Don’t forget to backup your files and settings before proceeding with the update (the backup option will appear just before the upgrading starts).
