The Sony Xperia E3 was announced in September at the pre-IFA event in Berlin. The device has been designed for active young adults who need something cheap and dependable. The active part of the phone comes in the form of the quick launch camera and the extra long battery life. This allows the phone to capture activities in a flash with its 5 MP rear camera, and the STAMINA mode will enable the users to stay away from chargers for a longer period. The phone has a plastic build but its corners are extra strong and is designed to handle most minor bumps or falls that it may face. The digital image stabiliser that Sony has included will also make those action videos look a lot smoother when played back.

Sony Malaysia has also released the Xperia M2 Aqua quietly here. The device was previously covered back in August of this year but it’s finally here.

For a quick recap, the Xperia M2 Aqua has the same Snapdragon 400 processor and 1 GB RAM as the E3 but offers a larger 8 GB internal memory. The phone has 4.8” IPS display with a 960 x 540 resolution. It is also a Cat 4 LTE enabled device but the most important piece of certification is for its IP65/68 rating. This makes the M2 Aqua the most affordable waterproof LTE device by Sony.
